With borewells running dry and no Cauvery water in sight, alarmed apartment and residential communities are looking at RWH alternatives, especially now that BWSSB has made all buildings RWH mandatory from November 1st this year.

To help such groups, ApartmentAdda.com, an online portal for apartment and residential communities is organising a water workshop on December 6th 2009, in partnership with the Rainwater Club and Citizen Matters.

This event brings together apartment owners associations, experts and experienced citizens – to discuss water issues and solutions. The workshop will look at the water reality and solutions, including groundwater recharge, RWH and grey water reuse.

There is also a roundtable on water management with residents' experiences in implementing RWH systems and demonstration of the RWH system at SJR RedWoods.

Speakers include M N Thippeswamy-Chief Engineer (Rtd.), BWSSB, Sunil M S and Shubha Ramachandran from RainWater Club and various representatives of apartment complexes in and around Sarjapur Road and Whitefield neighbourhoods.
