I am a resident of J P Nagar 7th Phase. About 2 weeks back, the vacant plot next to Big Bazar was full of garbage and stinking. It was difficult to walk through the pavement because of the stink. Fortunately, after a few days the garbage was cleaned up. Even then a decomposed smell remained in the air for several days. Then again, today, I found garbage piling up there including garbage carts. It seems this is done by garbage collectors themselves. I am afraid, unless checked, the garbage will pile up here in the coming days as before. This is done in total disregard of the fact that Big Bazar is next,and an eatery opposite. It is a crowded spot during day time as well as in the evening. Throwing garbage anywhere and everywhere is a common feature in this area. There needs to be awareness among the residents to keep their environment hygienic.
