A man of many parts, Jaithirth Rao, or Jerry as he is better known, has been in the business world as an executive in international banking and an IT entrepreneur. With MBAs from IIM Ahmedabad and the University of Chicago, Jerry is a regular columnist with The Indian Express and The Mint. His poetry was published by Penguin India in 1994, in a two-poet anthology entitled Gemini-II. Edited and with an introduction by Dom Moraes, Jerry's poems have been described as ‘sensitive and quiet explorations of the artist in exile ... urbane and rich, these poems announce the advent of a gifted new poet on the Indian literary scene'. Jerry divides his time between Mumbai (his base), Lonavla and Bangalore.

Aditya Sudarshan, 24, graduated as a gold-medalist from the National Law School in Bangalore in June 2007. He began practising criminal law in Delhi's trial courts but decided after nine months to devote himself full-time to writing. He is the author of two novels, one published and one pending publication, and a number of short stories, including prize-winning science fiction. His first novel, A Nice Quiet Holiday (published by Westland Books), is part murder mystery, part courtroom drama, and ‘combines literary flair and depth of insight with strong and suspenseful plotting'. Aditya lives and works in New Delhi.

C K Meena is a Bangalore-based journalist/columnist/novelist, whose own first crime novel, Dreams for the Dying, was published by Dronequill in September 2008.
