Bangalore Bridges is an annual event sponsored by the Drumjam, Stepping Stones Center, and KidSmart in order to bring awareness to the general public regarding child development and developmental delays. Rangoli Metro Art Center is lending its support to this event scheduled on the 23rd April 2017 from 3-30 PM to 7PM.
Today, 10-15% of population globally is living with some form of disability. This translates to 130-195 million people in India. Early detection and interventions (before the age of 5 years) is the key in making a change in the lives of these individuals, their families, and this country.
This event is held specifically during April, which is an Autism Awareness month in order to draw attention to ASD, a developmental disorder which is steadily rising in prevalence.
Families attending Bangalore Bridges event will be able to avail free developmental screening to ensure their children's development is on the right track while having fun the entire afternoon drumming, enjoying arts & crafts, experimenting with slimy science, jumping in the bouncy castle, making clay pottery and watching the magic show. Other activities for interested parents like presentations by doctors and professionals in the field of child development will be available as well.
The entry to this event is free and everyone is welcome, especially families with young children between the ages of 1 to 10 years.
